Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for someone from post secondary education who is interested in gaining hands-on experience with the community in a church context. The field of study would include social work, counselling, early childhood education, youth work, religious studies, or education. The job includes opportunities that meet the physical needs of our community such as, working with teams to serve children and youth, interaction with parents, observing those in counselling roles, and interaction with our multicultural community.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

-Assist with the planning and running of events at Johnston Heights Church to serve kids who are in grades 8-12 within the church and surrounding community.

-Help promote and run youth camp, weekly community breakfasts and other day trips such as water slides and field games

-Tasks will include scheduling volunteers, planning games and activities, setting up rooms for events and arranging details for transportation to off-site events.

Supervision & Mentoring Plan:

This person will be supervised and work closely with the Administrative Director and the Lead Pastor on a weekly basis.
