Where, When and Who?
This year we are returning to Eagle Bay Camp on the Shuswap. We will be leaving on Sunday August 29th from the Johnston Heights Church parking lot at 8:30am and be returning on Friday September 3rd around 5:30pm. Camp is for anyone who is going into grade 8 this fall all the way up to the grad class of 2021. This year only we are inviting the grad class of 2020 as well as they missed out on camp due to the pandemic!
We are looking forward to a safe camp and will be taking all the necessary precautions during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are in process of completing our Covid-19 Safety Plan which will be submitted for approval from the Health Authority. As current restrictions are being reduced, an updated document will be sent to all registrants and uploaded to the forms section of this website In August. At this time we encourage all students, who are able, to get vaccinated prior to coming to camp this year.
Camp Pricing Break Down
I'm An Early Bird (June 23rd-July 1st)- $375
I'm On Time (July 2nd- August 15th)- $400
I'm Late To The Party (August 16th-August 28th)- $425
*Please note a $50 deposit is required 1 week after you register. The remaining total will be due 1 week prior to camp (August 22nd).

We realize that camp can be expensive! It is the express desire of JHY that no camper be denied the opportunity to attend summer camp due to financial circumstances. That being said, the current registration cost is already a portion of the actual cost per individual student with approx. $100 per student already being subsidized by Johnston Heights Church. JHY will endeavour to maintain a Financial Aid fund that provides adequate assistance for those who need camp or retreat support.
Application for Financial Aid must be requested at the time of registration and a completed Financial Aid Form must be submitted within a week of submitting the registration. For 2021, the deadline to submit a Financial Aid application is August 15th. Incomplete forms will not be processed.
*Financial Aid will typically fund to a maximum of half the registration costs.
The Financial Aid Form can be found at the bottom of this website, or picked up from the Church office, and will be emailed to all those requesting financial aid on their registration.
This year we will be riding on a coach bus supplied to us by Cross Canada Coach Lines. Due to Covid-19 guidelines space is limited on the busses we have rented and we suggest registering early as registrations will be cut off when we reach bus capacity. Transportation fees are included in the cost breakdown, please email email@example.com if you were planning on travelling on your own for a discounted rate.
