The number of people coming into the church building on Sunday mornings has increased by close to 30% in the past 12 months and on September 15th we've introduced a second service to make room for growth and increased connection. We've got many areas you can serve and would love to include YOU into our weekly Sunday volunteer rotation!

Here are some of the areas with the greatest need:

Connect Team: We are looking for an additional 30-35 volunteers to serve as outside door greeters, inside door greeters, parking lot security, building security, or giving centre hosts. For all roles (excluding security positions) they will need to be present at the building between 8:30-10:15 am (first service) or 10:30-12:15 am (second service) and the commitment can be as little as once every six weeks.

Children's Ministry: We are looking for an additional 18-20 volunteers to serve as nursery workers, toddler-Grade 3 classroom teachers or assistants, buddies to support those with diverse needs, check-in/registration. The current commitment for volunteers is to be present from 8:45 -10:15 am (first service) or 10:45 am -12:15 pm (second service). The commitment can be as little as once every six weeks.

Post-Service Prayer: We are looking for an additional 8-10 mature Jesus-followers who would be willing to meet with and pray with people after one of the services. The time commitment would be to attend the entire service and then be available 9:45-10:15 am for prayer (first service) or 11:45 am - 12:15 pm for prayer (second service). The commitment can be as little as once every six weeks.

Hospitality/Café: We are looking for 2-4 people to be either bakers, servers, coffee makers, or table dismantlers. The time commitment is 8:00 am - 12:45 pm (Baking Teams), 9:15 -11:15am or 11:30 am - 12:45 pm (Coffee Makers). The commitment can be as little as once every four weeks.

Digital Content Team: We are looking for 5-10 people to serve as photographers and videographers capturing moments from our Sunday Services and various ministries during the week . The time commitment will vary depending on availability however, it could be as little as once every four weeks for Sunday Services.

These are some of the pressing needs we have as we've moved to two services but there are many more areas to serve in the church than this. Tell us your passion, we've got a place for you! Our ultimate hope is that each person will find a place of purpose and belonging as we seek to live out the vision of JHC, "Making Jesus known in every community God places us." We believe that serving in the church is not only something every Jesus follower is called to do, but also a God-ordained path toward deeper Christian community and sense of purpose.
