JHC Bookkeeper

Johnston Heights Church is searching for a Bookkeeper who is a passionate follower of Jesus, has a heart for God and a heart for people, and a servant heart for the congregation as a whole.  


The Bookkeeper position is part time at approximately 10-12 hours per week (wage $20-$23/hr) and a preferred start date of April 1, 2024. This person will report to the Administrative Directors. They shall be given the authority to fulfill the specific duties as outlined in the official job description. 


To carry out the full scope of details of the duties and responsibilities listed below: 

  • Oversee all staff salaries and benefits 
  • Bi-weekly payroll 
  • Process expense forms 
  • Ensure all invoices are processed and paid 
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements 
  • Maintain all financial records 
  • Prepare required regulatory filings 
  • Front office assistance 




  • A solid understanding of bookkeeping and / or generally accepted accounting practices 
  • Organization and administrative skills  
  • Works well with others in a team environment and is comfortable working independently 
  • Preference will be given to attendees of Johnston Heights Church

Contract Security Person

We are looking for a contract security person to oversee different events held at the church. Duties would include opening and locking up the building, as well as patrolling during the event. This will be a paid hourly position of $25/hour. Hours will be mostly evenings and weekends. If you are interested, please e-mail your resume to admins@hopetoyou.com.
